Hemp and Peanut Butter Bliss Balls

Once drained, we combine the dates with hemp seeds, desiccated coconut, natural peanut butter, hemp protein powder, and cocoa powder in a food processor. The mixture is processed until it forms a sticky dough-like consistency, and if needed, a touch of water can be added to bind it together.

Once the mixture is well combined, we roll small portions into 15g balls, using approximately 1 teaspoon of mixture for each. For an added nutty crunch and flavor, we roll these bliss balls in hulled hemp seeds. The hemp seeds not only provide a delightful texture but also contribute to the nutritional profile of the bliss balls.

After rolling all the bliss balls, we place them on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes. Chilling allows the bliss balls to firm up, making them easier to handle and enjoy. Once they are chilled, you can savor the bliss balls, savoring the harmonious combination of flavors from the hemp seeds, peanut butter, and cocoa powder.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted dates, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes and drained 

  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds (plus extra for rolling) 

  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut  

  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter 

  • 2 tablespoons hemp protein powder 

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 

Method

  1. In a food processor, add the soaked and drained dates, hemp seeds, desiccated coconut, peanut butter, hemp protein powder, and cocoa powder. 

  1. Process the mixture until it comes together and forms a sticky dough-like consistency. If the mixture seems too dry, you can add a tablespoon or two of water to help bind it together. 

  1. Once the mixture is well combined, remove it from the food processor. 

  1. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them between your palms to form small balls, we rolled into 15g balls (using approximately 1 teaspoon of mixture) 

  1. Roll each ball in some extra hulled hemp seeds 

  1. Place the coated bliss balls on a baking sheet or plate lined with parchment paper. 

  1. Repeat the process until all the mixture is used. 

  1. Refrigerate the bliss balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving. 

  1. Once chilled, the bliss balls are ready to enjoy. You can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
